1. Unpack the adapter and the new hard drive
2. Remove the screwdriver acting as a spacer inside of the adapter by pushing on its side tab
3. Release the screws on both sides of the adapter to clear the opening
4. Insert the drive into the adapter at the minimal angle until the connectors lock
5. Tighten the side screws to secure the drive
6. Slide the assembly into the optical drive bay until it locks into place
